"Mary's Shoes"

I’m preparing to preach on Sunday about JOY. As I’ve been reading and studying the scripture (Luke 1:26-56) I’ve been thinking about how often joy and its opposite (pain, sadness, fear, etc) are linked. A song by some of my friends has been running through my head. It’s called “Mary’s Shoes” and it was written by Craig Benelli and Frank Di Minno. I’ve heard them sing it live with their group "Kings Highway," but have also heard it on their "All Year Long" CD.   I found a YouTube video this morning of a recent concert they gave at a church in Seattle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=EluK5U7Qe_A&feature=endscreen. I wanted to share it with you so you could hear it, too. I don’t know yet how much of it will make it into the sermon, but you can be blessed by the music and get a window into some of what’s been running through my mind this week!
